I had a super busy rollercoaster week/weekend.




*THURSDAY*
Took my nclex boards in the morning and freaked out all night about it.
I was so upset because a lot of the questions were hard.
Karen had to take me out and calm me down because I thought I had failed.
We were able to lay another electro track down though,
and I'm super excited about it. The song is currently named "Circus Dick".

*FRIDAY*
Checked the Board of Nursing website and I PASSED. Yay!
I can now work as a NURSE. My parents paid for the exam
so it was a lot of pressure for me. I hate disappointing them and wasting their
hard-earned money.

Time to start looking for a new job.
My parents took the whole family out for dinner. I think they were super happy.^_^
Seafood Palace on Nicollet is a really good place for Chinese food.
I highly recommend it.


*SATURDAY*
ALA played with Ross on bass and Brando on drums and that was really cool.
(people in the audience said it sounded pretty good)
It was our good friend Chad's Music Production Studio's anniversary at the 400 Bar
as well as Karen's 23rd birthday yay!

A bunch of us trooped over after our noon set to Neighborhood Cafe
on Selby for some breakfast. mmm eggs.
Karen,Mike,Charles,Me,Ross,Brandon,Robin,Kc,and Cait were present.

Charles and I headed back to his place to rest for the afternoon. Robin
and Brandon graciously picked us up to go to a sweet art show called
"Minimum Wage" in Steven's Square Center for the Arts.
Lizardman is a really awesome artist. We hung around for awhile
then went back to St. Paul to party with miss Karen. It was FUN.
No drama,everyone was pretty cool. I didn't really drink too much though.
I bought the nastiest raspberry vodka ever and I didn't want to
drink the rest of it after the first taste. BLECH.

*SUNDAY*

It was Charlie's 28th birthday. ^_^ We picked Nina up to watch
Coraline in 3d at the mall. I love that movie. Its super creepy
but really well-made. We had a grill out at his place after that
and a lot of awesome folks showed up. There was food galore
and lots of cupcakes and cookies baked by thoughtful friends. :D yay.

I made delicious blue cheese juicy lucy's. mmmm. good shit.




I have to get ready to go to uptown to pick up my bc.

Nina had a fun birthday party on Saturday! All her best friends came and dressed
up as princesses. There was a crap ton of food and she got a lot of amazing presents.
I think my little girl is well-loved by everyone around her and anyone who
is close to my family. I feel lucky. She's such an amazing child and I am proud
of everything she does. xoxoxo

I had a productive day yesterday.

-Went to cheapo and shopped for movies with k-bear.

-Went to Mirror of Korea with Karen,Charlie, and Brandon
(He's fucking hilarious. He wanted to order beef bukkake
with special cream sauce. wtf??! haha)
and had a grand old time. The food is always so good there. Yum.

-ALA practiced 5 songs for
the devil's workshop sound studio anniversary show on the 28th of February. :)

-Karen and I made an electro song last night.
DANCEY SHIT.
The lyrics are still in the works but holy shit was it fun playing with the E-mu.
Karen has the music theory down, and knows how to work the program Reason really well, and I threw in ideas for what might sound good.
I was also able to contribute by playing around
with the keys and we threw it all together.
I also figured out a few verses for the lyrics.

Our first electro song wasn't bad at all. :) At least I think it was decent.


An electronic side project is in the works! I am fucking excited about it.

I got to spend time with Charles last night.
Its always wonderful seeing him on my weekends off...and its nice
to fall asleep in his arms...ahh. I still wonder
how the dude puts up with me. We're both stubborn assholes
but each of us bends for each other in the end.

Hello everyone. I apologize for not being around really. I kind of turned into a hermit for awhile. I hope everybody had a fun NYE. I did.


I am still sick. I'm fighting off sinus crap, chest congestion, AND a UTI. On top of that, my antibiotics are making me feel ill.


Here's a rough list of goals for this year:

-motivate myself to do the nclex review everyday.
-pass the boards
-have fun in the Philippines this summer
-find a good nursing job
-Do more fun stuff with my daughter.
-stop being so neurotic
-exercise more. I have no excuse. I have an amazing elliptical downstairs that I'm too lazy to use.
-Appreciate my amazing boyfriend more.


I sincerely hope that all of you will have a good 2009.

and I think its really sad and pathetic that someone still reads my journal after
almost two years of being broken up. Stalker much?


I am just glad to retain the friendship of two women I have
so much respect for.
